ARTRONIC
I was born in a town called Salford in the UK. I always had a great passion for art, even in my school days. When I left school my art teacher told me that I had a natural talent and should enrol at Art College. Unfortunately, my parents were poor and could not afford to do that and so I had to take a regular job to earn my keep.
When I grew older, I attended countless art classes even art college for a short time. To be honest, I never learned much at these places. I had my own ideas of how things should look and carried on painting in my own way, in 2011 I won an art competition at Eccles Community art gallery and was presented cash prize and an award by the Mayor of Salford.
In 2015 I won Manchester Metro’s Christmas card design competition Over a thousand of these cards were printed and distributed throughout Metro link network. My work has been included in exhibitions at Salford Art gallery and Eccles Art gallery.
I have always used Acrylic paints but have recently discovered water-based oils which I find are much better to use than conventional oil paint which require smelly chemicals.
